Larval Hosts: Polyphageous:  Grasses, Wild Leek, Beet, Brassica, Marigold, Dahlia, Queen Anne's Lace, Chrysanthemum, Carnation, Strawberry, Gladiolus, Canadian Hawkweed, Lettuce, Nightshade, Plantain, Primula, False Rhubarb, Potato, Spinach, Dandelion, Violet, Grapevine.
Comments: Introduced to NS from Europe about 1979 and can now be found virtually everywhere in NA.
Flies long distances and in great numbers. Researchers have tracked clouds of ths species by RADAR in Britain.
