Larval Hosts: Snapdragon, Celery, Beet, Chrysanthemum, Carrot, Strawberry, Fuchsia, Cotton, English Ivy, Rose, Potato, Violet.
Comments: There is often confusion distinguishing Udea profundalis from U. rubigalis. Colour cannot be used as there is no appreciable difference between the two species. Although rubigalis has been collected in BC, it is an eastern species not normally found west of the Rockies. For all intents and purposes coastal populations especially can be cosidered to be U. profundalis regardless of hue.
